Most new writers believe fiction has rules you have to follow to tell a good story. While it’s not strictly true, good narratives tend to follow certain best practices, such as having a clear protagonist with a goal. Climate fiction is a new sub-genre of science fiction, and I’ve come up with writing rules that will help you develop good story ideas and compelling characters. The climate crisis affects everyone, and we need to tell good stories about it.
